Hmm.., never tried it, but that is the way it supposed to work(specify full
path starting from router-config directory). A thing that got me on targets
was making the list of items all lowercase even though the actual targets
had uppercase characters in them. In other words, a target "Test" would not
work when accessed with targets = "Test;blah..."

Subject: [cricket-users] Multiple graphs over multiple targets...all on one
page?

From: Matt Duggan <matt@insnet.net>

Hi,

I have managed to get cricket/rrdtool running on a Sun Ultra 1 as a
replacement for our current MRTG system.

The multiple target option is great, and exactly what we need...but...

I have managed to get multiple graphs on one page for ONE router, i.e.
router a's fast ethernet ports, however we really need to have all of
our routers fast ethernet ports on one page, perhaps smaller graphs too.

I have tried creating an interfaces file in
cricket-config/router-interfaces/
with the targets pointing toward the other routers
sub-directories...i.e.

target All-FEs
targets -
"/router-interfaces/routera/fastethernet0_0_0;/router-interfaces/routerb
/fastethernet1_0_0"

however, this does not work. Any suggestions on how to do this would be
much
appreciated.

Also, I know of the issue with spikes appearing on graphs with cisco's
and am
thinking of using the rrd-max = x method. Does this entry go in the
targets in
an interfaces file? i.e.

target Serial0_0
        interface-name = Serial0/0
        short-desc = "a description"
        rrd-max = value

?

if so, how does the rrd max value pan-out? for example, of bytes
in/bytes out graphs
the values are multiplied by 8 so would a rrd-max for a 10mb ethernet
port be 10mb/8?

thanks in advance,
Matt.
