[cricket-users] odd errors

Hi,
I'm having 3 problems with cricket:

  1) Datafiles "disappearing". Every once in a while I get the following:

[30-Aug-1999 14:40:04*] Could not find a datafile for fastethernet0_5.

The run 5 minutes before was fine, and the run 5 minutes after is
fine. The port number it has trouble with (fastethernet0_5 on this
     run) changes.

  2) '%dataDir%' in my cricket home directory. Instead of cricket translating
'%dataDir%' into 'cricket-data', sometimes it saves the data directly
     into a directory called ~cricket/%dataDir%.

  3) Unresolved interface-name mapping. Sometimes cricket has trouble and
     gives me the following error:

Walking ifDescr for to resolve interface-name mapping
Use of uninitialized value at [...]SNMP_util.pm line 315
Failed to map instance for fastethernet0_16. Instance is now set to nothing.

I noticed that the $hp variable is empty -- any ideas? Note that this
error does NOT occur at the same time as my first problem (#1), so I
     don't believe they are related.

....thnx,
....dave
