Who do we serve?
- English speaking adults...
- ages 16 or older...
- who read below the 8th grade level.
|
|
Who are our tutors?
- Volunteers who are willing to give 3 hours a week to help an adult learn to read.
- Tutors must be 18 years or older and complete 12 hours of free training.
- We ask tutors to commit 9 months to their learner.
Qualities we need in a tutor are:
- patience
- flexibility
- thoughtfulness
- a good sense of humor
