It's a good idea, but I have not come up with an easy way to implement
it. In any case, setting up subtrees is something we do rarely --
mostly we add new targets, and for that, inheritance works
beautifully. I agree that using inheritance everywhere would be cool,
but it's probably not gonna happen anytime soon.
