Hi *
I got some problems reading snmp data from a Cisco 2500.
The situation is the following.
root@joker:/var/lib/cricket# util/listInterfaces heaven community >
cricket-config/router-interfaces/interfaces
[Editing router-interfaces/interfaces for the right snmp community]
root@joker:/var/lib/cricket# ./collector -base cricket-config/ -loglevel debug
[08-Jan-2000 14:24:15 ] Starting collector: Cricket version 0.70 ( Wed Aug 11
11:33:37 PDT 1999 )
[08-Jan-2000 14:24:15 ] Processing /router-interfaces/bri0_1...
[08-Jan-2000 14:24:15 ] target bri0_1
auto-base = cricket-config/
auto-root = /..
auto-target-path = /router-interfaces
datadir = cricket-config//../cricket-data//router-interfaces
inst =
interface-name = BRI0:1
router = heaven.rhwd.net
rrd-datafile =
cricket-config//../cricket-data//router-interfaces/bri0_1.rrd
rrd-poll-interval = 300
short-desc = WAN gt.owl.de
snmp = community@bri0_1:161
snmp-community = community
snmp-host = bri0_1
snmp-port = 161
[08-Jan-2000 14:24:15*] No ds tag found for target type .
[08-Jan-2000 14:24:15 ] Processing /router-interfaces/ethernet0...
[... and so on ...]
I was wondering about several debug lines.
Especially "snmp = community@bri0_1:161" - Shouldn't that be community@heaven
then?
This problem could be fixed in cricket-config/Defaults by setting snmp value
to something other.
And what means "[08-Jan-2000 14:24:15*] No ds tag found for target type ."
I don't what I could have done wrong, because at work it works, at home it
doesn't. Same cricket version.
I assume it's one blind failure, so show me where :)
MfG/Regards, Alexander
