Hello,
I've just begun using Cricket to monitor a pair of NetCache Proxies.
For the most part, it's been working great. However, from time to
time I'm getting bogus spikes reported for network utilization.
We usually peak at around 10Mbits, but every so often I see a
spike of 113Mbits, and it's usually sometime during the middle of
the night.
Anyways, I've just gotten onto this list in the past day or so, and have
seen some references to spikes and RRD. I decided to try upgrading
RRD from 1.0.7 to 1.0.10, and Cricket from 0.70 to 0.71. So I installed
the new RRD and then the new Cricket. It looked like things were
being collected ok, but when I tried to look at any of the graphs, I got
an "Internal Server Error" on my browser. My Web Server error log
shows:
[17/Jan/2000:15:45:57] failure ( 286): for host 148.90.80.180 trying to GET /cricket/grapher.cgi, cgieng_scan_headers reports: the CGI program /usr/netscape/suitespot/Banner/docs/cricket/grapher.cgi did not produce a valid header (name without value: got line "use of uninitialized value at /usr/netscape/suitespot/banner/docs/cricket/grapher.cgi line 795.")
Anyone else happen to run into anything similar when trying to upgrade
to RRD 1.0.10 and Cricket 0.71?
Thanks,
-KD
